Precision Grinding invests in new CNC Machining Center

Precision Grinding is pleased to announce the installation of a new Takumi America CNC Vertical Machining Center in its Birmingham, Alabama facility. This new machine complements Precision Grinding's existing steel plate processing services and allows the company to machine plates up to 31" tall, 78" wide and 122" long and to hold tolerances up to +/- .0004.

Precision Grinding was founded in 1971 and provides a full array of value added steel services on-site to customers nationwide, including
(1) CNC plate cutting with both Oxy-Fuel and Plasma technologies; (2) Steel plate inventory up to 8 inches thick with steel grades including A36, 4140, 1045, A572-50 and A514-T1; (3) Stress Relieving and Annealing with a 40,000# and 8' x 8' x 14' furnace capacity;
(4) Blanchard Grinding; (5) Large Surface Grinding (6) Large Horizontal, Vertical and Planer Milling and (7) Steel Plate Fabrication.
